Pride parade

CHICAGO — An LGBTQ rights group in Illinois’ second-largest city sued its police chief and event coordinator over the near-cancellation of the 2022 gay pride parade, claiming it only went forward after the city offered police triple pay to work the event and then forced the group to foot the bill.
