Pride flags in school

NEW HAVEN — A group of parents failed to convince a federal judge that a Connecticut public school system violated students’ constitutional rights by displaying pride flags and other LGBTQ+ messaging in school hallways and classrooms. The mere exposure to such imagery does not constitute compelled expression under the First Amendment and the parents failed to provide evidence that their children were prohibited from expressing their religious beliefs or disciplined for doing so.
