Price-Fixing Settlement

A federal judge recently approved a $25 million payout from Samsung and Toshiba to a class of indirect purchasers of its optical disk drives to settle price-fixing claims.

SAN FRANCISCO -- A federal judge on Thursday approved a $25 million payout from Samsung and Toshiba to a class of indirect purchasers of its optical disk drives to settle price-fixing claims.

In November, additional technology companies allegedly involved in the scheme also settled claims for $55 million.
