President Obama Wants|Conservation Agenda

WASHINGTON (CN) - President Obama has directed agency leaders to help community-driven efforts to preserve the natural world succeed.

The President has called on the Secretaries of the Interior and Agriculture, the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Chair of the Council on Environmental Quality to create a conservation agenda by looking to the private sector, nonprofit organizations, and towns, cities, and states, and the people who live and work in them, to identify the places that mean the most to Americans, and leverage the support of the Federal Government to help these community-driven efforts to succeed.
