(CN) – A man claims he paid $185,000 to buy a rebuilt 2004 Porsche Twin Turbo Cabriolet, and Wicked Motor Works delivered him “nothing more than an unmarketable pile of used and scrapped parts bearing no resemblance to the vehicle which [he] agreed to purchase.”
James Merritt sued the California company and Kirkor Barsoumian, of San Bernardino, in Dallas County Court.
Merritt says Barsoumian, of Sylmar, has business addresses in Montclair and North Hollywood, all in Los Angeles County.
He claims that the Porsche Barsoumian agreed to sell him “had been so damaged in previous crashes that it had only a salvage title, which could never be converted into a clear and marketable title.”
Merritt demands rescission of contract and wants his $185,000 back, plus $3,200 in other damages. He is represented by Tammy Holt with Rose & Walker of Dallas.
