AUBURN, CALIF. (CN) - Max Software defrauded investors by taking $50,000 business loans and promising royalties on every MaxPlay DVD player and ClearPlay pornography filtering device sold, investors say in two claims in Placer County Court. The Salt Lake City-based defendants, including Max.com and ISP Services, stiffed the lenders and formed a new company to duck their royalty obligations, the plaintiffs say.
Here are the defendants: Max Software Inc., a Utah corporation; Max.com fka ISP Services LLC, a Utah limited liability corporation; Fred Ninow, Executive Vice President and Founder; Gregory Fullerton, Executive Vice President and Founder; Michael Landon, Jr., Founder; Steven Scott, Director/Founder; and Peter Nordberg, Chief Executive Officer.
The porn filers allegedly were to be sold by ISP Services, Quixtar fka Amway "or any other entity."
Plaintiffs are represented by Caulfield Davies & Donahue of Sacramento.
