A federal court in Indiana granted U.S. Steel’s request to dismiss plaintiffs Surfrider Foundation and the city of Chicago’s complaints in intervention relating to allegations a steel plant committed “numerous environmental violations” by releasing pollutants near Lake Michigan.

HAMMOND, Ind. — A federal court in Indiana granted U.S. Steel’s request to dismiss claims by Surfrider Foundation and Chicago over a steel plant's release of pollutants near Lake Michigan.
