Police Say Man|Killed Over a $20 Debt

PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. (CN) - Police say a 31-year-old man bludgeoned his 81-year-old neighbor to death with a hammer over a $20 debt.

Joshua Peecher was arrested and charged with murder and possessing a stolen vehicle.

Peoria Heights police say Peecher killed Billy Price with a hammer because he was angry over a $20 debt Price owed him.

Peecher then stole Price's vehicle, the (Peoria) Journal Star reported. Peecher is being held at the Peoria County Jail under $1.5 million bond.
