Police Officers Accused Of Killing And Maiming Without Cause

(CN) - City of Santa Rosa, Calif., police officers shot to death an unarmed bipolar man in front of his wife because he wouldn't stay down after they knocked him down, though his wife had called the police and told them it was a mental health problem, the widow claims in San Francisco Federal Court.

A medical student sued the City and County of San Francisco in the same court, claiming police officers beat him, smashed his head and shot him 10 times with a Taser because he threatened to report them for calling him a "girl." And in Las Vegas Federal Court, Gayleen Boney, a Paiute, sued the United States of America, claiming BIA cop Walter Valline shot her minor son to death six weeks after she had complained that Valline had used unnecessary force against her husband.
