Parents of the late Ronald Clinton sued West Memphis, Ark., its police Lt. James Matthew Presley III, et al. in federal court, claiming Pressley, suspecting their son of misdemeanor shoplifting, chased him at 100 mph, ignored orders to break off pursuit, and shot him to death.

HELENA, Ark. — Parents of the late Ronald Clinton claim in a federal complaint that Lieutenant James Matthew Presley III with West Memphis, Arkansas, police, suspecting their son of misdemeanor shoplifting, chased him at 100 mph, ignored orders to break off pursuit, and shot him to death.
