Police Chase

A federal court in Louisiana dismissed a civil rights suit against New Orleans, its police department and four police officers who were involved in a high-speed chase that killed two minors when the car in which they were fleeing crashed into a beauty salon, setting it on fire and killing a woman inside. The officers violated policy by engaging in the pursuit and deactivating their body cameras, but the plaintiff failed to plausibly state a Fourth or 14th Amendment violation.
