Plastic Surgeon Is in the Soup

CLAYTON, Mo. (CN) - Five women claim in court that a plastic surgeon posted nude before-and-after photos of them online without permission to promote her plastic surgery business.

The five Jane Doe complaints against Dr. Michele Koo bring the number of lawsuits against Koo to 17. The new complaints mirror the 12 complaints that were filed in 2011. All were filed in St. Louis County Court.

The women claim Koo took the photos from their confidential medical files without permission and posted them on her website.

The patients say the photos show them naked from waist to chin and disclose their names through a simple Internet search.

They seek punitive damages for privacy invasion, unreasonable publicity, breach of fiduciary duty, and wrongful commercial appropriation and exploitation of their image and medical information.

All five are represented by Neil Bruntrager, of Bruntrager Billings.
