Pittsburgh protest retaliation

PITTSBURGH — A Pennsylvania protester’s First Amendment retaliation and other civil rights claims will proceed in federal court against Pittsburgh police officers and a city council member after he was allegedly arrested and jailed for criticizing the mayor during a Juneteenth celebration. His failure-to-intervene claim against the police chief, however, failed to show the chief knew of and also approved of the officers’ use of force against him, however.
