Piper Meridian Called Inherently Defective

MINNEAPOLIS (CN) - A man died in a crash caused by a Piper Meridian's defective tail assembly, which Piper knew has "a long history of in-flight breakups" but refused to redesign, recall, or even warn pilots about, "to save money and maximize profits," the late David McCormick's next of kin claims in Hennepin County Court.

Debra McCormick seeks damages for wrongful death. She is represented by Gregory Reigel of Hopkins, Minn.
