Phony crypto ads

SAN FRANCISCO — A federal court in California permitted negligence claims to move forward in a lawsuit brought against Meta by Australian businessman Andrew Forrest, who says the company allowed ads that depicted him endorsing bunk cryptocurrency investments. Because it is at least plausible that Meta had a hand in creating the ads at hand, the negligence claims survive Meta’s motion to dismiss.
