Philip Morris Sues San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CN) - Philip Morris says the City and County of San Francisco enacted an unconstitutional ordinance that prohibits pharmacies, and stores that contain pharmacies, from selling tobacco. It claims the ordinance actually is meant to bar tobacco advertising.

Philip Morris says that 60 "big box" stores affected by the ordinance sell 20% of its products in San Francisco. Philip Morris is represented by Hojoon Hwang with Monger, Tolles & Olson of Los Angeles.
