Philandering Cited In Man’s Denial Of Asylum

BOSTON (CN) - A man who allegedly fled Indonesia to avoid marrying the Muslim woman with whom he had an extramarital affair lost his bid to avoid deportation. Denny Rotinsulu claimed he feared persecution and retaliation by the "enraged" family of his scorned lover. The 1st Circuit denied asylum review, explaining that any death threats "were anchored in the petitioner's philandering, not in his religion." Rotinsulu is an Adventist Christian.
