Phil Mickelson Sues Sponsor, BearingPoint

SAN DIEGO (CN) - Golf pro Phil Mickelson has sued BearingPoint for breach of contract in Federal Court. Mickelson said he's worn the logo of BearingPoint, fka KPMG Consulting, on his visor in tournaments since 2000, and that after BearingPoint fired its CEO Harry You, it claimed he didn't have the authority to extend that endorsement deal, for which Mickelson says he's already made appearances. He demands exemplary damages. See complaint.
