Pfizer Assessed $103M|In Prempro Damages

PHILADELPHIA (CN) - Pfizer was ordered to pay $103 million in punitive damages for its hormone-replacement drug Prempro, which two women blamed for their breast cancer. A jury awarded $28 million to one woman on Monday and a judge unsealed a previous award of $75 million to another woman.

Prempro was made by Wyeth, which Pfizer bought this year. Thousands more such cases are pending.
