Penthouse Founder Claims Legal Malpractice

NEW YORK (CN) - Attorney Jay Newman of the Manhattan firm Newman & Newman has been hit with a $10 million legal malpractice lawsuit in New York Supreme Court, accusing him of botching his representation of Penthouse magazine founder Robert Guccione.

Franz Leichter, as receiver for Guccione creditor James C. Sell, filed a summons with notice, stating that the action seeks to recover damages for Newman's alleged professional malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty.
