Parents Sue SF Schools To Save JROTC

SAN FRANCISCO (CN) - Four parents claim the San Francisco Unified School District is terminating the Junior ROTC program on false premises. Their federal claim states that they defendants claimed, inaccurately, that JROTC recruits for the U.S. military, which discriminates against homosexuals; that some JROTC "teachers" are not certified; and that "restriction of military involvement in civilian affairs is a fundamental characteristic of a healthy democracy." The parents seek an injunction to preserve the JROTC.
