LAS VEGAS (CN) - Baxa Corp. and McKesson Corp. killed a baby girl when their Baxa Compounder machine delivered her 1,000 times too much zinc, and Baxa knew of the defect during the design phase of the machine but sold it anyway, the parents claim in Clark County Court. The parents of Alyssa Shin claim the FDA has recalled the Baxa Compounder's software, as it allows fatal errors by accepting inputs, as in this case, of quantity of a chemical per weight, instead of quantity per volume.
