Parents Allege Coach Seduced Rochester Girls

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (CN) - Father and son high school coaches with a history of seducing girls are still coaching in the community, one girl's parents say. The parents - whose daughter is now married to the son - claim that the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District negligently allows the men to have access to underage students.

In their claim in Wayne County Court the parents say their 17-year-old daughter was seduced by Dan Enright, her assistant track coach, and that he was aided in this seduction by his father and head coach, Tom Enright.

The parents say they reported this to the athletic director, Fred Ciaburri, but he took no action, allowing Dan Enright to continue the affair throughout the season. The parents say Dan Enright married their daughter after they sued him and his father in Federal Court in September 2007, seeking damages for negligence and interference with custodial rights. That case was dismissed.

The parents say the school did not act until they discovered hickeys on their daughter's neck and chest. Tom and Dan Enright were both suspended, but Dan Enright continued to pursue their daughter even after he lost his job, sending her sexually explicit images via MySpace, according to the complaint.

The complaint alleges that their daughter eventually moved in to an apartment rented by the Enrights, and owned by Fred Ciaburri. The parents say the Enrights persuaded their daughter to file a social services case against them, claiming that they had forced her out of their home.

Dan and Tom Enright now coach a community football team that meets on school grounds, and have access to underage girls through this position, the parents say. The complaint claims the school district does not have a policy to protect students from sexual harassment from faculty or staff.

The parents demand damages for negligence, intentional infliction of emotion distress and tortious interference with custodial rights. They are represented by Jeffrey Wicks.
