Pandemic stress

SAN DIEGO — San Diego County’s now-ex chief medical officer Nicholas Yphantides hit his former employer with a federal lawsuit, claiming county officials harassed him for taking medical leave due to stress from the pandemic, required an invasive “fitness for duty” exam and fired him before he could take it.
