Pakistani Man Loses Immigration Appeal

CHICAGO (CN) - A Pakistani immigrant failed to convince the 7th Circuit that he should not be deported because his attorney told him to lie on his asylum application andfalsely state thathe was gay and faced persecution in Pakistanunder Islamic law. The court declined to review the immigration judge's denial ofMohammad Khan's inadmissibility waiver, but held that he was deportable based on his bank-fraud conviction.
