A federal court in California denied environmental groups’ request for a preliminary injunction in a suit against the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service relating to an endangered carnivorous mammal called the Southern Sierra Nevada Pacific fisher. The groups asked the court to stay 31 logging and vegetation management projects.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A federal court in California denied environmental groups’ request for a preliminary injunction in a suit against the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service relating to an endangered carnivorous mammal called the Southern Sierra Nevada Pacific fisher. The groups asked the court to stay 31 logging and vegetation-management projects.
