Owl City not liable in grooming suit

PHILADELPHIA — The Third Circuit affirmed a New Jersey federal court’s decision to grant summary judgment to the musician Adam Young, his musical act Owl City and his management and promotion company Sky Harbor Touring, which sued were by a girl who was 13 when a performer in the electronica band, Daniel Jorgensen, groomed and sexually assaulted her. Her claims against Jorgensen have been settled and the rest of the defendants are not liable because they could not have foreseen the harm done to the girl, held the appellate panel.
