LOS ANGELES - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences sued Briarbrook Auction Services in Superior Court, for failing to give it right of first refusal to buy back an Oscar awarded to Joseph Wright in 1942 for color art direction on "My Gal Sal."
