WASHINGTON - A federal judge awarded summary judgment to District Title on Friday in the real estate company's attempts to recover $293,000 it mistakenly transferred to a former client named Anita Warren instead of to a mortgage lender.

The 21-page decision says Warren and her son have refused to give back the money, which they have been spending on real estate, vehicles and other personal expenses.
