'Only one Apollonia'

LOS ANGELES — Prince's "Purple Rain" co-star and musical collaborator, Apollonia, filed a lawsuit Tuesday claiming that Prince's estate is trying to "steal" her name in a trademark tiff. Attorneys for Apollonia say Prince's Paisley Park estate has asserted that she signed away the rights to her name in a 1983 movie deal for "Purple Rain," but they argue the contract carries no legal weight and note the late singer encouraged Apollonia's professional endeavors for decades until his death in 2016.
