Old KPMG Boss Slapped On Wrist Again

WASHINGTON - KPMG Consulting's former managing director Larry Rodda will pay $80,000 to settle SEC charges of accounting fraud with executives at Peregrine Systems, the SEC said Wednesday. Rodda signed four sham software license agreements that allowed Peregrine to record $22 million in bogus revenue - on the way to overstating its revenue by more than $500 million - the SEC said. Rodda pleaded guilty to criminal fraud charges in 2004 and was sentenced to 6 months in prison and fined $100 (sic).
