Oklahoma abortions

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Supreme Court finds a trial court improperly denied a reproductive care advocacy group’s motion for a temporary injunction during its challenge of state abortion legislation that creates penalties, including criminal sanctions, and provides paths for civil malpractice lawsuits and professional discipline related to abortion procedures. These can chill a physician’s willingness to provide constitutionally protected care, so the advocates’ request is reinstated.
