TAX, ENERGY - Columbia Gas Transmission Co. disputed the tax rate applied to its business in 2000 and 2001. J. Cupp held that the company is an "interstate pipeline company" with a property tax rate of 88 percent, rather than a "natural gas company" with a property tax rate of 25 percent of actual value.
