Officer’s Workers Comp

In a workers’ compensation case stemming from the death of on off-duty deputy sheriff in a car accident, the Texas Supreme Court ruled that the officer was “engaged in a law-enforcement activity” at the time of his death because he was operating a marked patrol car with the county’s permission.
