Officer’s Identities

An appeals court in Florida reversed an order that directed the city of Tallahassee to disclose the identities of two police officers, who, in separate encounters, killed crime suspects who were threatening them with deadly force. The court ruled the officers are entitled to the protections afforded to crime victims under the Florida Constitution.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — An appeals court in Florida reversed an order that directed the city of Tallahassee to disclose the identities of two police officers, who, in separate encounters, killed crime suspects who were threatening them with deadly force. The court ruled the officers are entitled to the protections afforded to crime victims under the Florida Constitution.
