Officer Misconduct

A federal court in Illinois refused to dismiss a civil rights suit brought by parents who claim that two towns and others concealed evidence that their daughter was killed by her police officer boyfriend. The parents, who claim the defendants covered up the death as a suicide, have offered evidence that the town of Crest Hill has a practice of “concealing and condoning officer misconduct.”
