ST. LOUIS (CN) - Tension between Occupy the Midwest and St. Louis police is evident at the park where 15 protesters were arrested last week in new graffiti that says "Class war," "The city has blood on their hands" and "Cops, pigs, murderers."
The slogans were spray-painted on buildings, walls and statues at the Compton Hill Reservoir Park in south St. Louis.
Police arrested 15 protesters last Thursday night as about 150 people were leaving the park to adhere to curfew laws.
The protesters have said that dozens of police arrested them without cause; two protestors were treated for minor injuries.
Police claimed the protesters were blocking a street. A police car window was smashed during the Thursday night confrontation.
Protesters from across the country converged on St. Louis last week for Occupy the Midwest. No other arrests were made after Thursday.
St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay said on Twitter that the home of the city's Public Safety Director Eddie Roth was vandalized by graffiti.
