Obama Tells Agencies to Listen to the Public

WASHINGTON (CN) - President Barack Obama ordered all federal agencies to include public comments when determining if existing agency regulations should be modified or repealed.

Last year, Obama ordered all federal agencies to conduct annual retrospective reviews of regulations with an eye to reducing redundant, overlapping or burdensome regulations.

The new order also requires agencies to focus on regulations that produce the most significant cost savings and reductions in paperwork.
