Obama Splits Difference, with Gay Pastor

(CN) - President-elect Barack Obama has asked Gene Robinson, the Episcopal bishop of New Hampshire, who is homosexual, to deliver a prayer Sunday at a pre-inaugural event at the Lincoln Memorial. The announcement came after Obama's gay supporters blasted him for asking the Rev. Rick Warren to deliver the inaugural invocation. Warren had barred gay people from his Orange County, Calif., megachurch, but recently removed statements annuncing the ban from his church's Web site.
