WASHINGTON (CN) - President Obama has nominated Jennifer Klemetsrud Puhl to a seat on the Eighth Circuit; she is an assistant U.S. attorney in Fargo, N.D.
In nominating her on Thursday, the president praised Puhl's "unwavering integrity and an outstanding commitment to public service."
Puhl was born and raised in Devils Lake, N.D., got her bachelor's degree magna cum laude from the University of North Dakota in 1997 and her J.D. cum laude in 2000 from the University of North Dakota School of Law.
After clerking for North Dakota Supreme Court Judge Mary Muehlen Maring for a year, she was in private practice for a year with Kennedy & Graven, then joined U.S. Attorney's Office in North Dakota.
She often speaks to the public, including children, educating them on the dangers associated with social networking.
