WASHINGTON (CN) - President Barak Obama has extended the provisions of three executive orders issued to combat the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems.
The orders directed the Secretaries of State and Commerce to place bans on trade in WMD-related technology, travel restrictions and asset freezes against individuals, organizations and nations that engage in WMD or WMD related technology proliferation.
The orders are extended for one year.
