NY Official Admits Embezzling| Money For 9/11 Victims

MANHATTAN (CN) - Natarajan Venkataram, longtime head of management information systems for New York City's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, pleaded guilty Tuesday to embezzling, money laundering and conspiracy: steering more than $13 million of FEMA money intended for victims of the 9/11 attacks to himself and fellow conspirators.
