NY Judge Consolidates |22 Bear Stearns Suits

(CN) - A federal judge in Manhattan has consolidated 22 lawsuits stemming from the collapse of Bear Stearns Cos., which include claims of securities violations, ERISA violations, breaches of duty and a derivative claim on behalf of the company. U.S. District Judge Robert Sweet also appointed lead counsels for the various aspects of the wide-ranging claims.
