Nurses Accused of Abuse & Misconduct

BURLINGTON, N.J. (CN) - A woman claims a male nurse who treated her at the Center for Family Guidance had a 2-year sexual affair with her, and that the man's wife, also a nurse at the Center, bullied and threatened her in her home when she discovered the affair, and told her to "go kill (herself)." And she claims that both nurses, Gregory and Lisa Field, threatened to hurt her if she reported their conduct to police.

She claims that throughout the period of these alleged abuses, she "remained under the care of G. Field and L. Field in their professional roles as advance practice nurses and/or registered nurses."

She claims that after the man's wife discovered the affair, "while G. Field was present, L. Field entered plaintiff's apartment without permission and ran menacingly toward plaintiff, causing plaintiff to fall into a seated position on a chair. G. Field and L. Field then proceeded to threaten plaintiff, stating that if she reported G. Field for his inappropriate and unprofessional behavior, plaintiff would go to jail. G. Field and L. Field have further threatened plaintiff by stating that they are well-connected to various authority figured, such as judges, lawyers and police officers, and have also suggested that they would hurt plaintiff or her family if she was to report the misconduct and unprofessional behavior of G. Field."

The plaintiff claims Lisa Field "provided telephone counseling to (her) during the time that plaintiff and G. Field were involved in their relationship. She claims that Lisa Field "threatened her that she would be going to jail for prostitution."

And she claims that her last "counseling session" with Gregory Field took place in his truck in a dark parking lot, and that he told her then that he had "lost her file" at the Center for Family Guidance.

Less than two weeks later, she says, she was hospitalized for the stress caused by the situation.
