NRDC Demands Info On Potato Pesticides

MANHATTAN (CN) - The U.S. EPA violates the Freedom of Information Act by refusing to disclose its contacts with pesticide manufacturers and other outside agents in forming its policies on dangerous ethylene bisdithiocarbamate (EBDC) pesticides, the Natural Resources Defense Council demands claims in Federal Court.

These pesticides are used on potatoes, but cannot be applied within 14 days of harvest.
