MONTGOMERY CITY, Mo. (CN) - Police responded to a domestic disturbance call from one of two people who carried on an entire argument through texting.
Montgomery County Sheriff Robert Davis told radio station KXEO that a deputy went to a rural Montgomery City home on a domestic violence complaint.
When the deputy arrived, a man handed him a phone and told him he could read the entire argument.
No arrests were made in the department's first "domestic texting" call, but the deputy did call the Missouri Division of Family Services after seeing a 2-year-old child sleeping in a corner near animal waste, The Associated Press reported.
Montgomery City is 80 miles west of St. Louis.
