TAMPA (CN) - A western Florida lighting company sued a rival over rights to the WFLI.com Web site. Western Florida Lighting Inc., the older company, claims Sesco Lighting promised to redirect WFLI Internet traffic to the plaintiff's site until Sesco's Web domain registration expires, but instead played an "unconscionable 'joke'" by directing WFLI.com traffic to a Web site that celebrates "lesbian, gay, bisexual (and) transgendered 'freedom.'"
Western Florida Lighting Inc. demands accounting, an injunction and damages for unfair and deceptive trade, trademark infringement and dilution, and cyberpiracy. It is represented in Federal Court by David Adams with Sponsler, Bennett, Jacobs & Adams.
