Not for the Faint of Heart

HARRISONVILLE, Mo. (CN) - A woman whose husband fathered four babies with one of their daughters pleaded guilty to child endangerment and hindering prosecution of a felony. Cass County prosecutors said the woman, who was not identified to protect the identity of the victims, knew of the incest, but did nothing to stop it.

The woman's husband was sentenced in June 2010 to life in prison for second-degree murder, second-degree rape, two counts of incest and two counts of abandonment of a corpse.

Three of the four children the man had with his daughter died. One fell off a couch, another got sick and did not receive proper medical attention and another was stillborn.

The daughter, now in her 20s, testified at her father's trial that her father first had sex with her at age 5 and that she gave birth to their first child at 14.
