(CN) - North Korea fired an "unidentified" missile eastward from Pyongyang Thursday night, with multiple reports saying it flew over northern Japan and landed in the Pacific Ocean.
The initial report of the launch came from the Yonhap News Agency, quoting South Korean military sources. Japan's NHK broadcaster reported the trajectory of the launch and said it prompted sirens in Japan and an advisory from the government to seek shelter.
Both countries said they are analyzing the incident. It would be the second such launch in the past few weeks after North Korea fired a missile over northern Japan in late August.
