No Verdict Yet|in Terror Trial

MANHATTAN (CN) - After a long day of instructions, jurors were unable to reach a verdict Tuesday as to charges that Osama bin Laden's son-in-law Sulaiman Abu Ghaith conspired to kill Americans and aided a known terrorist group as the spokesman for al-Qaida before and after Sept. 11, 2001.

Abu Ghaith faces up to life in prison if convicted.

The jurors asked U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan to go home after the first day of deliberations Tuesday, saying they were "tired and mentally exhausted."

Deliberations resume Wednesday.
